New Release - AML High Vacuum Stepper Motors

AML's ultra high vacuum compatible stepper motors have supported research, industry, and the broader scientific community for over 30 years. Around the world (and beyond Earth!) organisations and individuals have trusted our UHV stepper motors' reliability, versatility, and performance in some of the most demanding environments.

Today, we are excited to build on that heritage with the launch of AML’s new range of High Vacuum Stepper Motors (1 x 10-7 mBar), developed for applications where in-vacuum motion is required without the need for full UHV capability.

  • Suitable for use to 1 x 10-7 mBar
  • 75 mNm to 1,000 mNm torque
  • Operational temperature range -20 °C to +200 °C
  • Embedded thermocouple as standard
  • Continuous running in vacuum at high torque and step rates with AML drives

The Right Stepper Motor for High Vacuum

Not every vacuum application requires a UHV compatible stepper motor. AML’s new HV stepper motors have been developed specifically to bridge the gap between UHV compatible and conventional stepper motors.

The HV stepper motor range offers the performance and reliability required for in-vacuum motion without the higher cost features and manufacturing processes required to achieve the ultra high vacuum capability of AML’s UHV stepper motors. The range maintains the same build quality associated with AML at a more accessible price point.

This makes AML's HV stepper motors particularly suited to OEM equipment, research instrumentation and industrial vacuum systems operating in the high vacuum regime.
